Winter in Talkeetna
Come visit Talkeetna in the wintertime.
Often we have more snow than the cities of Anchorage and of
Wasilla. Popular winter activities are cross
country skiing, snowshoeing, dog
mushing and also snow
machining just a short drive north off Peterville Road
in nearby Trapper Creek. In the evenings, enjoy Northern Lights,
or just relax by the fire with a good book from our public
library or from one of the bookstores – it's a great
way to spend a winter day.
